Salvari Park

We purchased our first Dobermann (and first dog) in early 2003. We rang a few breeders in Perth and decided to purchase an 8 week old bitch from the Reldep Kennels in Bunbury WA, Reldep Salvari (aka Rosie).

When the Canine Association sent us all of her papers and information in regards to what one could do competitively with a purebred dog, things snowballed very rapidly.

Initially, all we wanted was an obedient dog that came when it was called, didn’t pull on the lead and didn’t jump up on people – that didn’t take very long. We very quickly came to realise that more often than not Rosie would be able to do things before we had figured out how it was done (a common trait in the breed).

Rosie went on to get her first CD pass at the age of 9 months. She would have passed in her first trial at the age of 7 months but our handling inexperience caused us to fail. After achieving her CD title, Rosie rapidly followed this up with her CDX title (only 4 trials). Rosie is currently the youngest Dobermann in Australian history to have attained her CDX title, doing so before 18 months of age. In 2004 she also went on to pass her Jumping Dog Title as well as her Working Aptitude Evaluation.

Rosie finished 2004 in brilliant style – winning most of the Dobermann Club of WA perpetual trophies. She won the club's highest and most prestigious accolade – The Dobermann of the Year. She also won the Top Obedience Dog Award as well as the Youngest Dog to achieve the CD title.

We got our second Dobermann in 2004, Emma (Bravadobe In Ecstasy CD AD JDX ET). At this stage, we were well and truly “hooked”.

In 2004 we became registered Dobermann breeders under the “SwanValley” prefix. We strive to campaign our Dobes in all aspects of competitive dog sports; obedience, showing, tracking, endurance, agility, jumping and temperament testing.

We bred our first litter in 2005 and from this kept “Cleo” (SwanValley Aramis CD) who has taken the show world by storm, wining many Class in Group awards under both Australian and International Judges. She is currently training all working disciplines and is showing a lot of promise. She achieved the obedience title of Community Companion Dog (CCD) with two 1st placings and one 2nd placing, attaining scores of 91, 96 & 93 out of a possible 100. We are very excited about this young lady’s future in the working and conformation rings.

In 2006 we imported "Hector" (Hector di Casa Shirak CD ET WAC) from Austria. Hector comes from the finest European lines with no less than 6 World Winners, 17 International Conformation Champions, 75 Conformation Champion Titles, 9 IPO III Titles, 22 ZTP Titles and 26 Schutzhund Titles in his immediate 4 generation Pedigree. His pedigree boasts the very best that Europe has to offer, with most of his immediate ancestors achieving the elite levels in  all aspects of Dog Sports, that being: Conformation, Obedience, Tracking and Protective work.  Hector truly comes from an exceptional line of Ultimate Dobermanns.

Hector has already proven himself in the show and working rings while in Australia. He is a multi-challenge dog winner as well as multi-class in show winner with very limited showing and against strong competition. He has also demonstrated excellent trainability achieving the obedience title of Community Companion Dog in 3 straight trials with one 1st and two 2nd placings.

In 2007, our B-Litter was born. This was between Hector and Emma and has produced very substantial puppies several of which will be campaigned around the country.

We live on a beautiful 6.5 acre property, Salvari Park, in the Swan Valley. The property was named as a dedication to Rosie – the Dobermann that started it all for us. We share this property with our dogs and horses.
